39 Families on the run The war in Ukraine has a“ected the entire outside world and of course also everyone who works at Semper. Governments, UNHCR, various organizations and associations as well as companies are focusing on the help they can provide. Semper has chosen to support UNHCR, which acts on the ground and provides vulnerable people with shelter, blankets, sleeping mats, clothing and medicine. The employees' Christmas gift 2022 was also donated to UNHCR to support children and families on the run. Food donations We are in a situation where the need for food donations has increased due to inflation and the general economic situation. We have worked hard to achieve a process without waste in various stages of the value chain. In this work, there is also a flow where food with a short best-before date does not go to waste. In the Nordic market, we have packaging that can be read and understood by all our consumers. This is important when a product requires careful preparation. Through product donations to, among others, the Stockholm City Mission's Food Mission and the Danish "Venligboerne", products with a short date are used by families in a strained financial situation. Creative recycling Semper Götene sponsors the Spektrum project, which focuses on sustain- ability and recycling. At a local creative center, pre-school and primary school children can create freely with the help of recycled materials from the local business community. Behind the idea are enthusiastic educators active in Götene municipality. Their vision is for Spektrum to be a creative meeting place where children are stimulated to explore and experiment. In the long term, they hope that more young people will become interested in science and technology. Semper and society Semper works actively to contribute to a better society and a better planet. In addition to providing our customers with sustainably produced good and safe food, we support initiatives that ensure that food and supplies reach people in need.
